Elisa Obillo, CPA, is a director in Aronson’s Government Contract Services Group. With more than 20 years of professional experience, she has developed a strong reputation as a trusted advisor to her clients and a committed mentor to the next generation of CPAs.

Throughout her career, Elisa has provided high quality assurance services to the public, private, and nonprofit sectors with a particular focus on technology industry. In addition to annual audits and quarterly reviews, Elisa has been responsible for reporting on financial, internal control over financial reporting, and non-financial information; review of SEC Forms 10Ks and 10Qs; SEC related services such as comfort letters and agreed upon procedures; and other service areas.

Elisa offers an extraordinary depth of technical knowledge, especially related to the proper application of new accounting standards, best practices related to financial reporting, and other complex technical accounting matters. She excels in breaking down complex accounting and reporting matters for the benefit of her clients. She regularly advises her clients on technical matters such as consolidation, business combination, cash flows, foreign currency, goodwill and intangible asset impairment, capitalization of internally and externally developed costs, and revenue recognition to name a few.

Elisa brings a strong commitment to service and client satisfaction to her work. Her professional demeanor and positive energy make a great impact on both her clients and colleagues. Elisa actively supports the learning and development of her team members, teaching accounting and auditing skills at the local, regional, and national level in order to share her experience with the hope of producing better CPAs for the future.

In addition to being a member of several professional organizations, Elisa has led women’s inclusion initiatives in the workplace and volunteered in the community and classroom teaching the younger generation financial literacy. Outside of the office, she is active in an international rescue organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and finds animals good homes.
