Azunna Anyanwu is Aronson’s Chief Technology Officer. In his role, Azunna drives the firm’s technology strategy, and oversees the firm’s IT operations. Prior to joining Aronson, Azunna served as the Director of IT at a Federal government contractor as well as 12 years in Big 4 Consulting primarily serving Federal government clients.
With 20+ years of experience in IT operations, IT strategy, cybersecurity, business process reengineering, and agile methodologies, Azunna brings a unique and diverse technical skillset that has proven invaluable to the firm and clients alike.
Azunna also leads Aronson’s Cybersecurity and Technology Advisory practice assisting clients with addressing IT and cybersecurity operational gaps.
Azunna has led the implementation of security programs that addressed cybersecurity gaps to demonstrate NIST 800-171 compliance. He has also led the development of multiple federal applications and supported the certification and accreditation (C&A) process to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO). Azunna also has experience teaching graduate-level courses on Information and Systems Security at the George Washington School of Engineering. He is a frequent contributor and speaker on Cybersecurity and IT Operations topics at industry and vendor-sponsored events.
As a servant leader who effectively manages, develops, and mentors people and teams, Azunna is adept at developing and sustaining trusted business advisor relationships with key leaders across IT and business units. He recognizes that it is impossible to have a secure and compliant IT environment without buy-in and engagement from the entire organization.
