The makers of Sage Simply Accounting Pro 2011 have teamed up with TechSoup Global to give qualified charities access to donated and discounted technology. Included in the package will be Sage’s one of a kind bilingual software (English-Spanish and English-French). The goal is to promote technological empowerment and philanthropy. The partnership has resulted in more that 1,800 single-user licenses donated to U.S. and Canadian nonprofits according to Accounting Today.
TechSoup also provides support when choosing accounting software to help assess which product may be the best fit for your organization and will assist in setting it up. Their website has a blog of tips and tricks for nonprofit Quickbooks users and gets into some more sophisticated technology like VoIP in their Learning Center articles and community forums.
Sage has also been expanding its nonprofit products and services, recently announcing a new product, Sage Grant Management, a web-based grant tracking tool intended to help provide transparency and optimize funding potential.
