At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Aronson client Mark Bucher, co-owner of DC-based restaurant, Medium Rare, and founder of Feed the Fridge, was concerned with how the elderly would have access to meals during lockdown. His restaurant began delivering free meals to the elderly, which soon became Feed the Fridge, a nonprofit organization that raises money to install refrigerators in recreation centers and fill them with restaurant meals.
Mark found that this nonprofit was a natural fit for the restaurant industry. “The solution to hunger lies in our restaurants and our neighborhood restaurants and our local chefs,” he said.
