Cloud Transformation

Roughly 43 percent of businesses accelerated their cloud transformation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of these companies had no such plans to do so before March of 2020.

The significant modernization is likely in response to the many challenges we have all experienced as we have moved into a distributed workforce. Moving systems and infrastructure to the cloud can dramatically lower costs and improve efficiencies. Your environments become faster, more agile, reliable, and a more conducive setting for collaboration and engagement.

Are all cloud solutions the same?  No, they are not.

Your Cloud – Building your own cloud is complicated and the onus is all on you. You are responsible for the infrastructure, the core ongoing management, storage, upgrades, and security. These are just a few of the complexities of building and maintaining your own cloud.  This is by no means a comprehensive list, but you get the idea.

Hosting – Our favorite hosting site for Sage Software is Swizznet.  Swizznet allows you to put your desktop Sage Software in the cloud.  Access from anywhere, anytime, and on any device.  You can also add all your other business applications if you want to.

SaaS – Sage Intacct for Construction is a True Cloud Solution. What does that mean?  True Cloud is built from the ground up and is hosted by Sage Intacct.  Sage Intacct hosts, maintains, and manages the software in their own multi-tenant cloud environment. All customers have access to the same real-time up-to-date version of the software. The environment is an elastic infrastructure, highly configurable, self-service expansion with integrated APIs.
