On October 23, 2014, Aronson LLC took home the Pro Bono Partner Award at the Good Hope Awards ceremony, hosted by Bread for the City. Bread for the City provides vulnerable residents of Washington, DC, with comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Bread for the City has depended on volunteers since their inception in 1974. Today, more than 1,500 dedicated volunteers help them with their medical practice, legal program, urban agriculture efforts, clothing room, and of course, their food pantries.
The annual Good Hope Awards ceremony is the organization’s way of saying thank you to those who routinely go above and beyond in their service to Bread for the City and to the community.
According to Bread for the City, Aronson received the award in recognition of their contribution of numerous hours of service worth thousands of dollars in technical assistance—dollars that allow Bread for the City to stretch their limited resources further. Aronson senior manager Kathryn Cuddapah donates her time to help the organization prepare their tax returns at no charge and is always available for consultations as needed. Bread for the City also cited the great benefit of working with partner Craig Stevens as the Treasurer of their Board of Directors.
