Aronson Foundation Supports SoCal Food Allergy and JDRF – June Charities of the Month

Aronson Foundation Charity of the Month
May 23, 2017

Aronson’s Charities of the Month for June 2017 are SoCal Food Allergy and JDRF.

The Southern California Food Allergy Institute (also known as SoCal Food Allergy) is a nonprofit that is revolutionizing food allergy treatment. Affiliated with Miller Children’s Hospital, the nation’s 6th largest children’s hospital, the organization offers the only hospital-based food immunotherapy Tolerance Induction Program (TIP).

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, with the singular goal to end T1D. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease with no cure that strikes both children and adults suddenly. Those with T1D must continuously monitor their blood-sugar level, inject or infuse insulin through a pump, and carefully balance their doses with their eating and activity throughout the day.

About Denim Days: Aronson employees may wear denim in the office throughout the week and are encouraged to provide a small contribution towards our Charity of the Month. The Aronson Foundation matches (up to $1,000) the funds collected for Denim Days each month to contribute towards the month’s designated charity. The monthly recipients are nominated by employees who have personal involvement with a charitable organization.
