The Aronson Foundation recently gave a gift to Arena Stage in support of their fundraising event, An Evening with Beb Neuwirth, which will honor Beth Newburger Schwartz and her contributions to the Washington, D.C. community. This event will be held on May 1, 2017 and will feature a one-night-only performance from two-time Tony Award and Emmy Award winning actress Bebe Neuwirth. All proceeds from the fundraiser will raise funds for critical theater activities and will ensure that Arena Stage will continue to challenge, educate, and engage with audiences.
Arlene Kogod will be presented the Beth Newburger Schwartz Award, established to recognize female leaders in the community. The award will be given annually to a woman in the Washington, D.C. community whose life and career have made important contributions to the city, not just in the arts, but in all areas of public life. The Aronson Foundation is proud to join Arena Stage in supporting and celebrating such an extraordinary woman.
