2021 was another year filled with tremendous hurdles, both personally and professionally, for all of us. This pandemic is not behind us yet, and the landscape of our industry has changed significantly, in some likely permanent ways.
In 2022, Aronson is recognizing our 60th year anniversary. And while we will find special ways to celebrate our people, our clients, and our community throughout the entire year, we will also be heading into this new year reflecting on everything that has changed in our firm, and in the world around us.
With this in mind, I would like to share three values that encompass both lessons learned in 2021, as well as our firm’s vision for the future.
- People above all. We know that when we prioritize our people above all, we are all better for it. Flexibility First, an initiative we launched this past year, responds to the demands of a changing professional landscape. At Aronson, we are putting more “life” into “work-life balance.” We hope this increased flexibility, as well as the enhancements we’ve made to our benefits this year, will continue to provide our team members the environment they need to thrive. We’ve also continued to invest in Diversity and Inclusion, with our D&I Council leading the way. If this environment sounds great to you or someone in your network, we’re hiring! Aronson will continue to invest in our people above all, and I am proud to be a part of this people-first culture.
- Adapt, and keep adapting. Change has always been a constant in our line of work, but the past two years have brought more change than anyone could have predicted, to say the least. In response to not only this period of significant change, but also the constant shifting industry landscape our firm and the clients we serve face, our firm has learned to adapt, and to keep adapting. Over the last several years, we have implemented several agile and technological best practices, and we continue to invest in cloud infrastructure to power firm operations and remote work. Aronson remains committed to innovation and continuous improvement in 2022 and beyond.
- Give thanks. I’d like to say thank you to all the healthcare workers who have, and continue to, put their lives on the line to keep us safe and healthy during this pandemic. This past year, just as much as in 2020, I have been thankful for those that help keep us safe. I am thankful for vaccines that have allowed us to see friends and family again. In 2021, we celebrated a Week of Thanks- our firm was closed the entire week of Thanksgiving as a thank you to our team members, to give them time to rest and recharge with loved ones. Aronson will continue to find new ways to show appreciation for our wonderful team members in 2022. I am also thankful for all the community members that make the DC metro community a wonderful place to live and do business. Through our community outreach and the Aronson Foundation, our firm will continue to find ways to give back to this community in 2022.
I am starting off 2022 grateful for our team members, our clients, and our community. Thank you for everything you have done for me, and for this firm, in 2021. Happy new year, and here’s to 2022.
