A Contractor’s Guide to COVID-19 REAs

Government contracts are priced based on the facts and circumstances existing at the time of contract award. In some cases, the facts and circumstances change such that the awarded contract price is no longer fair and reasonable for one of the parties. Contracting officers or contractors may find themselves in need to submit a Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) to their contracts to ensure the contract price remains equitable for both parties.

Aronson’s government contracting specialists have developed a guide to assist contractors in knowing their rights to receive equitable adjustments on contracts due to delays and increased costs that may result from the COVID-19 pandemic.
