Philip A. Steigner, CPA, CGMA, joined Aronson LLC in 1997 and is a partner in the firm’s Government Contract Services Group.
Philip has dedicated himself to serving the needs of the government contracting community, with a focus on assurance, tax, consulting, government cost principles, regulations, and indirect rates. Philip maintains an in-depth knowledge of complex financial reporting and accounting areas related to business combinations, indirect rates, revenue recognition, consolidations, ESOPs, stock options, foreign entity transactions, joint ventures, and income taxes. In addition, Philip has led due diligence teams in merger and acquisition transactions and has managed client accounts from various industries, including government contracting, construction contracting and real estate. Philip also serves a role in Aronson’s Quality Control department for audits, reviews, and compilations of corporate and employee benefit financial statements.
As an expert in the field, he has authored blog articles and made various presentations to local and national conferences, financial institutions, professional organizations, and accounting firms on emerging issues for government contractors and accountants, including indirect rates, standard changes and efficiency in operations.
Philip is an active member of several professional organizations, including AICPA, MACPA, and SECAF. He also participates on the Government Contractors Committee’s for the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and MACPA. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Aronson Audit & Accounting Committee. Philip is an alumnus of Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania.
