Mike has spent over 20 years in the industry, serving his clients as a keen technical resource in assurance, tax, and consulting disciplines, and has extensive experience with government cost principles, procurement regulations, accounting systems, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. His unique insight into the business of government contracting allows him to provide practical, value-added business advice that goes beyond technical know-how.
As the head of Aronson's audit and accounting practice, Mike's focus is on complex financial reporting matters, purchase accounting, complex equity structures, and ESOP's. He is passionate about technology and innovation, always looking for ways to help his clients and the firm move forward in a fast-changing environment.
Mike earned his bachelor's degree in business administration degree from Wake Forest University in 1990 and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland. Mike sits on the Board of Directors of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, where he was instrumental in the creation of GovConnects, an initiative focused on networking, educating, and connecting regional government contractors with business opportunities. Mike is a contributing author to Aronson's Fed Point blog, and a sought-after speaker.
As an avid fly fisherman and a dedicated advocate for veterans' issues, Mike is actively involved with the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association's annual Rock-On Warriors event, which pays tribute to our nation's wounded warriors.
