Rockville, MD, May 30, 2008/PRNewswire/ -- The Aronson Foundation, a charitable organization, is pleased to announce that it is awarding a $10,000 grant to the Marcia D. Smith School, in support of their educational services for children with autism and mental retardation. The mission of the school is to provide non-diploma, non-graded education with an emphasis on life skills, vocational training, and functional academics.
Aronson & Company, a Washington area accounting and consulting firm, formed the Aronson Foundation to address the needs of the community they have served for over 40 years. The Marcia D. Smith School provides quality educational services to Montgomery County children ages 16 to 21 with autism and mental retardation. The program provides an emphasis on life skills, vocational training, and functional academics.
