The Aronson Foundation recently gave a gift to the Children’s Defense Fund in support of their “Beat the Odds” celebration, at the recommendation of Partners Greg Plotts and Craig Stevens. The event will be held on November 16, 2016 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. The “Beat the Odds” program identifies and rewards youths in cities around the country who have experienced significant hardship in their lives and supports and trains them to become future leaders. Each student receives a $10,000 scholarship, a laptop computer, guidance through the college admissions process, and an invitation to join CDF’s youth servant leadership development programs — putting them on the path to college, successful adulthood, and sustained child advocacy.
CDF’s mission is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. CDF provides a strong, effective and independent voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby or speak for themselves.
Since its inception in 2004, the Aronson Foundation has donated in excess of $1,250,000 to worthy causes. These contributions are only made possible through the generosity and enthusiasm of Aronson team members. The Aronson Foundation is committed to giving back to the people who have made our community such a wonderful place in which to do business and live.
