Join government contract experts Donna Dominguez and La-Tasha Patel on September 28th for GWSCPA’s next Government Contracting and Consulting Section meeting for their presentation, “Turn Your Accounting System into an Asset for Winning and Managing Business.”
Donna and La-Tasha will teach attendees how to achieve and ensure an “adequate” accounting system that clears the way for flexibly priced contract awards. Some of the main topics they will touch upon include timekeeping, managing funding, and paying subcontractors. This session will allow both buyers and sellers to understand what is expected and required in order to award or receive cost-type or time-and-materials contracts/subcontracts.
What is the GCC Section?
The Government Contracting and Consulting Section is responsible for monitoring issues and trends in the government contracting arena and providing a forum for GWSCPA members in this industry for education and networking. The committee hosts technical sessions every other month featuring a one hour CPE qualifying speaker on issues of interest to government contractors and the CPAs that work with them. The group meets occasionally between CPE sessions in order to plan for future events.
Who should attend?
All GWSCPA members are welcome at Section meetings even if you have not yet registered as a member of the Section. Non-members are welcome to attend as a guest once before joining the Society, so feel free to forward this to a colleague.
