Kayla Kania is a senior manager in Aronson’s Government Contract Services Group and Employee Benefit Plan Services Group. Her clients, which are primarily government contractors, rely on her expertise in providing general assurance services and audits required by the Department of Labor.
Each year, Kayla performs upwards of 20 government contracting engagements, including audits, reviews and compilations, as well as tax planning, for clients whose revenues range from $5M to $275M. She also performs 15-20 employee benefit audits each year on 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan engagements for clients whose net assets range from $5M - $600M. Her combined expertise in these practice areas gives her a unique perspective and level of knowledge that is unparalleled.
Kayla is committed to mentorship and enjoys helping members of the staff grow and develop. She currently works with five counselees and has served as an Aronson “buddy” to several interns throughout her nine-year history with the firm.
Kayla received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with major in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accountancy Degree, both from West Virginia University. She is licensed as a CPA in the state of Maryland and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA), and National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).
